Saddleworth Group of Artists

Saddleworth Group of Artists has played a prominent part in the cultural life of the area since its foundation in 1950. There are currently over forty elected members from a variety of artistic backgrounds working in different media including oil, watercolour, ink, pastel, stitch, etchings and sculpture. Subject matter ranges from landscape to figures and abstraction.

The Group is affiliated to Saddleworth Museum and Art Gallery in Uppermill where free exhibitions are staged twice a year – one in summer, usually June and another running from November to January over the Christmas period.
