About the Artist

I trained to teach art and craft at Kesteven College university, Nottingham. Whilst teaching in Leeds, I attended life classes at Leeds Art School, as it was called then
in the nineties. I have a BA degree from the university of Manchester in History of Art.

I have my own garden studio and as a rule, I work from sketches, so my paintings are of my memories. My youth was spent amongst mountains…Alps, Pyrenees Nepal and of course the Highlands of Scotland. I also joined a group painting in the Rhone valley.
