About the Artist

Jill Radford

My name is Jill Radford and I’ve been a member of the Saddleworth Group of Artists for over a decade. I studied art at school and some evening classes, but most of my education was from my father Gordon Radford (MAFA), a fantastic artist whose work I greatly admire.

I have exhibited with the SGA and in the Oldham Open Art Exhibition. I was also honoured to take part in Tom Croft’s ‘Portrait for NHS Heroes’ initiative.

My inspiration comes from nature, domesticity, and observations of the human condition. I enjoy the dynamism of working from life. I experiment with media but also enjoy the simplicity of pencil drawing.
