About the Artist

Julie Taylor

My name is Julie Taylor.  My interest in art began at school.  I moved from Salford to Saddleworth 26 years ago.  In that time I didn’t touch back on art until about 3 years ago when I joined John McCombs art class and first started to use oil paints.  I also started painting ‘ en plein air’.  John and all the class members are brilliant and give you great support and encouragement.  I love to use charcoal too but I have not tried acrylic or water colour as yet.  Now that my 2 children have grown up, I can’t wait to retire so I’ll have time to paint even more.
