About the Artist

Sheila Dewsbury lives in Greenfield and is a council member of Manchester Academy of Fine Arts. She is a landscape painter, taking inspiration from the Saddleworth hills and coastal areas of Wales.

Her work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy and the Royal Institution of Oil Painters in London and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

She is featured in the recent publication A Northern School Revisited by Peter Davies and has work in the permanent collection of Gallery Oldham.
