About the Artist

Tricia Kenworthy

After a career in teaching and further degrees in psychology and anthropology, I was keen to volunteer in Africa to learn about different cultures. From photographs taken on my adventures I had an exhibition in Oldham Art Gallery – Memories of Africa – painting in oils and pastels. Nowadays, I prefer to use pastels and charcoal and with few exceptions I enjoy painting people and try to portray the essence of the person.
